 Rescue Box 925 (5/20/07)

Dispatch time: 13:59 hrs

First arriving unit A-961: 14:03 hrs

As the evening was settling in the volunteers were alerted for a 10-50 pi with rescue at 2030 Castleton rd and were alerted for 2 medic units. After this co.6 Whiteford and York County station 57 Delta Cardiff were alerted for a medic unit each A-961 was on the street in less than 3 minutes and was advised of a 1 vehicle vs. a tree with three trapped and one ejected. As 961 arrived they confirmed a one vehicle crash with tow trapped and 2 patients out of the car. Command then requested aviation for one patient and then upgraded to two. After this command requested a third medic unit, as well as EMS 2 from the Harford County EMS Foundation who was in the Hickory area. Maryland state police trooper 1 and Delaware Trooper 4 were called to the scene to airlift both patients to Shock Trauma. Command also requested second due rescue to the scene bringing E-613 from the Whiteford Volunteer Fire Company, however extrication was completed and E-613 transferred to Co.9 house 2 was well as a medic unit from The Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company. Chief 9-1 had the "Castleton road" command. Photos will arrive as soon as they are obtained.

 

Engine Assist to Bel Air

As the morning just started to begin the DVFC was alerted for an engine to assist the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company with an auto fire with exposure to a building at US 1 auto sales located on Conowingo Rd. E-914 went enroute along with E-314, R-351, E-315, M-393, and Tower 332 from Bel AIr. Chief 3 arrived confirming reports of an auto fire with one vehicle off the roadway that had struck a rollback pushing into the building and the car was on fire. Fire Rescue Box 930

The DVFC was alerted along with, Bel Air, Whiteford and Delta-Cardiff (YC) Fire Companies to 2646 Dublin Road for a reported dwelling fire with rescue. Responding units were advised that the garage was on fire with a handicapped subject inside the residence unable to escape. E-913 arrived initially reporting nothing evident but quickly upgrade to smoke showing. Firefighters found a small electric scooter on fire inside the garage. The situation was contained within 10 minutes. There was no extension to the inside of the main living area, nor were there any injuries. The occupant that was at home at the time of the fire was moved to the front of the home by HCSO personnel who arrived just prior to the fire department.
